I was delighted to hear today from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service about their astounding success in reducing fire in Warwickshire. Between 2002/3 and 2014/15 fires involving property and vehicles fell from 1745 to 585, a huge 66% drop.
This success, which is in part due to the great work Warwickshire FRS’s does providing fire safety advice to vulnerable communities, has led to Warwickshire having one of the lowest rates of fires per 10,000 population in the country.
I also heard about their future plans and how they will continue to be able to provide such an excellent service to the people of Warwickshire.
