I've had a very busy few days, meeting the constituents of Stratford-On-Avon. As always, I have been so grateful for the warm welcome I have received as well as the interesting and relevant questions. Yesterday I visited Mockley Manor Care Home where I spoke with the residents as well as their families and nurses. We dicussed ways to ensure the same nurses can remain at the home, ensuring consistent and continuous care. I also discussed pensions with patients and promised to do my best to raise their value. Last night I visited Monk's Barn Farm in Alderminster where I shared a glass of wine with over seventy locals. I assured them of my commitment to getting the job done in Afghanistan and of tackling the overriding problem of public sector pay. I just returned from a trip to Newbold on Stour Village Hall, where over eighty residents, both young and old, listened to me speak about my background and why I want to be their MP. I know some people are skeptical of me because I am not from the area, but I convinced them that I am the one that can work hard to improve their lives. While some residents need help sustaining their milk farms, others are struggling to start a new business. I showed that I understand their problems and have productive solutions for alleviating them. I thank these people for sharing with me and listening to my ideas. With their help we will get rid of this inefficient and scandalous government, and start making Stratford-on-Avon and the rest of the United Kingdom stronger and a better place to live.
