Last night the NFU hosted a lively debate between me and the other candidates fighting to represent Stratford-on-Avon.
The farmers made it very clear that Labour has let them down on every front, and they are angry. While Alasdair Darling keeps promising (although not acting) to put money in the pockets of small businesses, he does nothing to help the people who are feeding this country.
As a Conservative Member of Parliament, I will not forget rural England. I will fight for the money, infastructure, and investments they need to keep their farms open and sustainable. I made this promise yesterday, and I intend to keep my word when elected.
I just returned from a visit to Shipston Primary School and Shipston High School. Both of these schools are paragons in teaching our children the technological and learning skills they need for the future. I am commited to do what I can to advance these institutions even farther and ensuring Stratford's youth are well prepared to succeed.
